Here I am, 3 weeks in and 3 more to go until I have another 13 credit hours under my "college belt." Can't say I'm going to complain. 13 credits in 6 weeks! That's a whole semester of work, minus 11 extra weeks. I'll take it. The work is plenty and I stay very busy keeping up with homework, but it's worth every moment and every penny!
My daily schedule:
-Wake up-prepare for the day.
-Make a hot beverage to take to school.
-Go to school from 8:30am-1:00pm
-Come home.
-Run errands.
-Return home.
-Pop in a Netflix "Season DVD" rental.
-Start on homework.
-Take nap.
-Finish homework.
-Eat lunch/supper.
-Watch television/read a book.
-Go to bed.
Pretty low key and not very exciting, but it works for now. I don't get out much because all my partners in crime are away (SoDak and Minn.) or working (opposite shifts of me).
I got a surprising call from an unexpected person last night, Mr H. I met him for supper at the restaurant across the street and we had a lovely time chatting. I can't complain, the food was good, the company was better, and the surprise invitation was best. Getting out of the house was also nice. I forget how much I seclude myself sometimes. Thanks Allie!
I'm excited for July 12th to get here. This schedule will be drastically modified when all I have to do is work instead of go to school and work. I'll finally get to have some "summer" time. Outings to Forks will rise substantially.
It won't be too long after that when I head home for the best wedding reception in of 2010! For 2 weeks I'll be home visiting family and friends. Fingers crossed I'll be able to meet up with some sorority sisters in Denver.
Big things are changing in the family. One sister and brother-in-law just added an addition to their house. I'm very excited to see the expanded space. I'm sure it will now house our rambunctious bunch for get-togethers a little more comfortably for games of Quelf and Sunday dinners. My other sister and brother-in-law will be moving into their very first house at the end of the month. I know they are excited to finally be home owners and start a new phase of their married life. I think they'll both be happy to finally get their dog back. From the sounds of it, they've missed the little guy.
My next big feat of the summer is to finally make it to the center to play cards on Friday afternoons. I keep telling myself I'm going to go, but I just keep making excuses not too. However, at this point in time, I do have a legitimate excuse. Cards don't start until 1:30pm and I have to be to work by 3pm. You can't get in good rounds of cards in such a short time. So, I have told myself that once school gets out I will no longer make excuses and I WILL be at the center on the first Friday I have free to play a few hands. I now have 3 weeks to talk myself into actually doing this. ;)
Until next time,
Be the change you wish to see in the world.-Mahatma Ghandi
(I'll try too, good luck.)
