BIRTHDAYS!

Oh my how I love celebrating birthdays. This year was yet another that didn't let me down! I had quite a few phone calls of "Happy Birthday" sung to me. Family and friends filled my day with warm wishes. To me, It's not about getting presents, it's about knowing that your loved, and on my birthday, I felt loved just like I do every other day of my life. I mustn't forget to mention the beautiful flower bouquets I received, the delicious candy bouquet that found its way to me, and the packages I received in the mail. I was good too, I didn't open them until my birthday! Now that takes some self control! Lastly, a very good friend came up to cook me a surprise supper. We had a lovely time making the meal and catching up. It's been a long time since the two of us were able to sit and talk.

I then found myself in Grand Forks on Saturday celebrating again with two more good friends. We went to Mike's Pizza and Pub which I suggest you try if you are ever in the area. They have good drinks and a spinach dip that can't be topped! After that, it was out to the bars to enjoy some socializing with some new friends and one in particular who never fails to supply me with good times. I had a wonderful time, as always.

All around my weekend celebration has gone splendidly and lucky for me, it's not over. A good friend from home is on her way up for a 3 day visit and this coming weekend I will be blessed with the arrival of my mom, nephew, and niece. Lucky, lucky me!
